Empowering nurses to transition into non-bedside careers, increase income and build real financial freedom
Empowering nurses to transition into non-bedside careers, increase income and build real financial freedom

There was a time I believed nursing only meant one thing: long shifts, constant stress, and putting everyone else before myself.
I showed up. I did the work. I pushed through the burnout.
But deep down, I knew something had to change.
There are so many opportunities in nursing that go beyond bedside care, but most nurses are never taught about them.
I started exploring different paths, learning new ways to increase my income, and discovering options that gave me more flexibility and control over my time.
That changed everything.

Why I created Beyond Bedside Nurse
Not just career options…
But income options, lifestyle options, and freedom.
Because leaving bedside isn’t just about getting a new job.
It’s about:
✔️Reclaiming your time
✔️Increasing your income
✔️ Building a life that works for YOU
This isn’t just another nursing blog.
Here, you’ll learn how to:
🔹 Transition into non-bedside nursing roles
🔹 Increase your income beyond your paycheck
🔹 Start side hustles and small businesses
🔹Build long-term financial stability

My name is Ifey Grace and I’m a nurse with over 10 years of experience, and at one point, I felt completely burned out, overwhelmed, and stuck.
For a long time, I believed I only had two options: stay at the bedside or go back to school to become a Nurse Practitioner. There’s nothing wrong with going back to school, but for me, it didn’t make financial sense.
My children were already in college, and my husband and I were responsible for helping cover their tuition, expenses, and support. Taking on more debt and more years of school just wasn’t the right move for my family.
At the same time, bedside nursing was becoming harder to sustain. The long shifts, the stress, and the time away from my family started to take a toll. I knew something had to change, but I didn’t know what else was out there.
So instead of going back to school, I started looking for another way.
I researched, asked questions, and explored roles outside the bedside. Eventually, I transitioned into a non-bedside role in Pre-Admission Testing, and everything changed. I gained more structure, less stress, and a better sense of control over my time and life.
What surprised me most was realizing how many options actually exist for nurses that aren’t discussed enough, and we definitely didn’t hear about them while in nursing school.
I realized something important:
Now, I share what I’ve learned to help other nurses do the same.
✔️You don’t have to stay stuck.
✔️You don’t have to settle.
✔️And you definitely don’t have to figure it all out alone.
Start with one step.
